A semi-dwarf, stoloniferous plant forming clumps, rarely growing over 3 feet tall. Leaves are distinctively glaucous. Flowers are white, sometimes flushed pink or light yellow, blooming with the new leaves, and powerfully fragrant. Found from New Jersey and Pennsylvania south to Georgia along the coastal plain.
