This is a vigorous and upright grower, eventually rounding out to about 10 X 10 feet. Flowers are golden yellow tinted red at their bases, calyx is reddish maroon. Overall effect is golden-orange. Blooms midwinter. The flowers have no scent.
A Hemelrijk selection raised by de Belder and named after John Schnieder, a friend of the de Belders. It was propagated by hamamelophile Chris Lane at the urging of Jelena de Belder. Chris states that it is a vigorous and upright grower, eventually rounding out to about 10 X 10 feet. Flowers are golden yellow tinted red at their bases, calyx is reddish maroon. Overall effect is golden-orange. Blooms midwinter and the flowers have no scent.
