HYDQUE09-NA_C
A 2014 cover feature, with very distinctive and showy double flowers that continue to grow from the center, producing new bracts over older ones which later turn pink. Flower panicles have an interesting two color effect as the older bracts age. Fall color is red and peeling bark is attractive in the winter. aka 'Brido' PP3047'
The showy double flowers of Snowflake are the most distinctive (and we think the prettiest) of any oakleaf hydrangea. Each individual double flower continues to grow from the center, producing new bracts on top of the older ones which turn pink. The 15" panicles thus always have fresh flowers and an interesting two color effect as the older bracts age. Like other oakleaf hydrangeas, fall color is red and peeling bark is attractive in the winter. aka 'Brido' PP3047 Hybridizer: Edgar and Loren Aldridge
